Tomatina, a festival declared since 2002 by the General Secretariat of Tourism as a festival of International Tourist Interest.

On the last Wednesday of August, the most important tomato battle in the world takes place, filling several streets and squares of the town with red.
The almost 150 tons of tomatoes launched among the participants, which since 2013 was limited to a maximum capacity of 22,000 people, means that the cleaning group has a long day of work to fade any trace of tomato Buñol. Thanks to the help of many neighbors, the cleaning process is much more affordable.

The streets are really red and the soil looks like a river of blood from the tomato juice that lives up to an authentic battle of the old days. That's why it's not uncommon to see all attendees wearing goggles and t-shirts for the occasion. We assure you that they are essential accessories for the battle.
